The Federal Road Safety Corps, (FRSC), Zonal Command Headquarters Kaduna, on Wednesday decorated three Corps Commanders and three Deputy Corps Commanders in Kaduna.
The Zonal Commanding Officer (ZCO), ACM Ahmed Umar and Commandant Air Traffic Services Training Centre(ATSTC), Nigerian Air Force Kaduna, AVM Nosiru Folaji, decorated the six newly promoted senior officers.
Folaji, who was the Special Guest of Honour at the ceremony, highlighted the importance of collaboration and cooperation between government agencies, particularly in the security sector.
He congratulated to the newly promoted senior officers, acknowledging, “promotion comes from God,$ emphasising the role of hard work in achieving success.
The commandant encouraged those who were not promoted yet, assuring them that with perseverance and hard work, they would reach the pinnacle of their careers.
He appreciated the families of the newly decorated officers for their support, recognising the crucial role they play in enabling their loved ones to excel in their careers.
Folaji sought God’s continued guidance, strength, and blessings for the officers and their families.
Earlier, Umar said he was pleased with the number of officers from the Kaduna zone who were promoted, considering it a significant achievement.
He said, “Promotion comes with great responsibility and with great expectations.”
Umar urged them to excel in their new roles, leveraging the mentorship and training they received in the zone.
“I believe that the officers will shine in their new assignments, representing the zone and the organization with excellence,” the ZCO added.
He charged the officers to be good ambassadors of the zone and the organisation, upholding its values and reputation.
Corps Commander Lawan Fagge, who spoke on behalf of newly promoted senior officers, appreciated the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, for the approval given and for rewarding them with such huge elevations in their careers in FRSC.
He also appreciated Umar, Sector Commanders of RS1.1 Kaduna, RS1.2 Kano, RS1.3 Katsina, RS1.4 Jigawa and all the senior officers of the zone for their guidance and encouragement.
“We are very grateful to you and we appreciate your exceptional leadership and mentorship skills,”he added.
Fagge assured the management of FRSC that their promotions had given them the motivation to work with more commitments and dedication.
This,he said, was to ensure that FRSC achieved its goal of eradicating road traffic crashes and creating safe motoring environment in Nigeria.
NAN reports that Kaduna zone consists of Kano, Kaduna and Katsina States as well as Jigawa.
