NOA Commends Kaduna Residents for Shunning Fuel Scooping

By Sani Idris-Abdulrahman

In a remarkable display of civic responsibility, residents of Kaduna North Local Government Area refrained from scooping fuel after a tanker accident on Ali Akilu Road on March 28, 2025.

This exemplary conduct has earned them commendation from the National Orientation Agency (NOA).

Mr. Danjuma Makama, the State Director of NOA, in a statement by the agency's PRO, Abubakar Argungu, praised the residents for their restraint, citing it as evidence that Nigerians are responding positively to the government's sensitization campaigns.

According to Makama, the newfound awareness is in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's renewed hope agenda, which emphasizes national development and peaceful coexistence.

He said the NOA has been tirelessly campaigning against the hazardous practice of fuel scooping at accident scenes.

Makama assured that the agency would continue to mobilize citizens to promote peace, harmony, and national development.

The prompt response of security agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and Federal Road Safety Corps, was also commended by Mr. Makama.

Such heartening incident demonstrates the power of community awareness and responsible citizenship.

As the NOA continues its efforts to educate and enlighten the public, Nigerians can look forward to a safer, more harmonious future.(NAN)
