Dr. Beta Edu, the suspended Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, has been rebuked by her employees over alleged "Used and dump'".
The Media Centre therefore throw their weight in solidarity with the CEO of QAT foundation, Halimat Tejuosho, urging President Bola Tinubu to appoint her as Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management Minister.
The development was contained in a statement issued to newsmen in Kano state on Saturday, signed by Betta Edu's sixteen state Coordinators and the FCT, alongside their phone numbers, endorsing the CEO of QAT Foundation, Hajiya Halimat Tejuosho Adenike as the right candidate for the position with immediate effect.
The sixteen state Coordinators and the FCT that signed the statements are: Bulama Muhammad Bukar Borno, Sani Bello Bature, Katsina, Tanko Muhammad Ibrahim Nasarawa, Ahmad Muhammad Taraba, Abubakar Adams Usman Gombe, Ja'afar Umar Abba Adamawa, Yahuza Zaki Gwandu Kebbi, Muhammad Abdullahi Bello Jigawa, Halimat Muhammad Abuja FCT, Abubakar Abdullahi Ja'afar Kano, Mustaph Abdullahi Chedi Plateau, Abubakar Kayarda Niger, Haruna Abdul, Kogi, Hassan Abubakar Usman, sokoto, Elderman Rabiu Kaduna, Alhaji Adams Zamfara, Zamfara and Kawu Magaji Wali, Bauchi states.
The Media professionals alledged that Dr. Edu is full of promises without fulfilling any, noting that they were used as a tool for propaganda while she was in office without necessarily doing anything as widely reported.
Lamenting the shock news that Edu may be reinstated according to the group, they stressed that such idea should not be conceived at all, disclosing that better Nigerian patriots like Hajiya Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, that can mane the position with massive impacts on the Nigerian society should not be sidelined for any reason, noting that she represents the interest of the Nigerian youths and People Living With Disabilities (PLWDs) among other members of the society.
The image makers, reiterated that their support for Tejuosho is on the ground that the philanthropist have been tested and can be trusted following her outstanding interventions in the ministry, while Edu was just busy claiming the glory.
Parts of the statement, reads: “Betta Edu Media Center State Coordinators have embraced and endorsed a true humanitarian and leader that makes positive impacts in our lives and the society, compared to the suspended humanitarian Minister, Dr. Betta Edu.
“For the record, we did not serve Edu because of what we stand to get, even though it's expected that we are properly taken care of by our principal. We served her base on the interest we have in the Nigeria project inline with the president Bola Ahmed Tinubu's renewed hope agenda.
“Meanwhile, it's pertinent that we let the Presidency, Nigerians and the world know that Beta Edu is one of the worst Ministers that the government of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu has produced considering her unreliable nature of person.
“While Edu was in office, majority of her self acclaimed job was false as she continued to use propaganda to buy more time for herself. Her suspension came to us as a shock because we never imagined that such nemesis could catch up with her, soonest.
“We therefore wish to make our position known that we are no longer interested in working with Edu as we choose to embrace Halimat Tejuosho Adenike, who is a true humanitarian and philanthropist touching the lives of the masses with her hard earned resources.
“We therefore call on president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to appoint Hajiya Halimat Tejuosho Adenike as the new Minister for the Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management without further delay so that she can hit the ground running to alleviate the plights of the citizenry.”
