The Kaduna State Civil Service Board on Monday began a three-day confirmation examination for civil servants across the state.
The State Head of Service, Jummai Bako, told journalists during an inspection visit at the Kaduna State University ICT centre venue of Kaduna central.
She said the confirmation examination would confirm civil servants who have been recruited into the civil service after the probation period of three years.
Bako said the examination was for all cadres and is taking place in the three senatorial districts and will last for three days.
"We are here today to inspect the confirmation examination for civil servants," she said.
The examination is computer-based and will last for three days at different venues, which include Kaduna State University ICT centre, Kafanchan Campus, and Federal College of Education, Zaria.
She said she was impressed with the turnout and the manner in which the exams were being conducted.
According to her, staff and invigilators are on ground to attend to people facing difficulties.
She said the state government had been training civil servants on work ethics and disciplinary procedures, and she was seeing a positive impact from the training.
She called on them to be more dedicated to their work, as she expected to see more improvement in whatever they were doing.
She added that the civil servants were trained the previous week on artificial intelligence, which would help them improve their performance and productivity.
She added that the artificial intelligence would also make their work easier and encouraged them to be dedicated, efficient, and effective in service delivery.
Some of the civil servants who wrote the examination appreciated the efforts of the state government, adding that the process was less stressful than before.
Mr. Lucky Paul from the Ministry of Health said she didn't encounter any hitches from the computer and she passed the examination.
Mrs. Zuliat Kabiru from the Ministry of Education also commended the process, adding that the computer worked well and there were no hitches. (NAN)
