Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has reaffirmed his administration’s determination to sustain the momentum of infrastructural development across the state.
The Governor made the pledge on Sunday in Birnin Kebbi during a courtesy visit by leaders of the Zabarmawa Development Association.
He explained that his election as Governor was divinely ordained, stressing that although he initially intended to contest for the House of Representatives, he eventually joined the governorship race under the All Progressives Congress and emerged victorious.
He assured that he would continue to cherish the mandate given to him by the people and remain committed to driving the development trajectory of Kebbi State.
Governor Idris emphasized that democracy must translate into tangible dividends for the people, adding that his administration would continue to improve welfare, security, and comfort for all citizens without bias.
Expressing appreciation to the Zabarmawa community for their loyalty and contributions to the growth of both Kebbi State and Nigeria a donation of 50 million naira was given to the Zabarmawa community for empowerment and entrepreneurship initiatives.

Speaking at the event, the Minister of Budget and National Planning and former Governor of Kebbi State, Senator Atiku Bagudu, praised Governor Idris for transforming the infrastructural outlook of the state noting that the Governor’s achievements had earned him respect beyond Kebbi State.
Earlier, the Sarkin Zabarmawan Besse, Alhaji Bello, who led the delegation, commended the Governor for supporting the association and approving appointments for some Ward and District Heads and pledged thier continued loyalty and cooperation to the state government.
In recognition of his achievements, the Zabarmawa community conferred on Governor Idris the traditional title of “Garkuwan Zabarmawan Najeriya.”
The Governor expressed delight at the honor, saying it would further inspire him to deliver more to the people of Kebbi State.
