NOA Pledges Support for Police Command in Kaduna For Fight Against Insecurity, Other Vices

 

The National Orientation Agency (NOA), has pledged its support and cooperation to the Kaduna State Command of the Nigeria Police in the fight against insecurity and other vices.

The NOA North-West Zonal Director, Malam Hamisu Abubakar made the pledge during a working visit to the Command on Friday in Kaduna.

Abubakar gave an overview of the Agency's mandate, mission, and vision.

He said the NOA is ready to join forces with the police to educate Nigerians on the need to eschew vices and be security-conscious.

"The agency will mobilise Nigerians to assist and support security efforts,"he said.

"The NOA will also continue to mobilise Nigerians to assist, support and complement the efforts of security Agencies in curbing cases of Kidnapping, banditry and other criminal activities by sharing verified information with the Police",he said.

Responding, the Commissioner of Police in Kaduna, Muhammad Rabi’u, appreciated the visit, commending NOA's public enlightenment activities.

Rabi'u urged NOA to intensify awareness campaigns on gender-based violence and illicit drugs.

He emphasised the importance of such campaigns in addressing social vices.

Highpoint of the visit was the presentation of standard National Flag and some NOA publications to the Commissioner.

NAN reports that the partnership, would complement the police's work in maintaining law and order in Kaduna State.
