The people of Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, have expressed joy and gratitude following the distribution of palliatives by the IRM Foundation to 500 beneficiaries in the community.
The support package included bags of fertilizer for farmers, enrollment into the Kaduna State Contributory Health Management Authority (KADCHMA) scheme, and financial assistance of ₦10,000 each to 100 women to boost petty trade and household needs.
Speaking at the event, the Vice Chairman of Kajuru Local Government Council, Muhammad Shuiabu, commended the IRM Foundation for what he described as “a timely intervention that touches lives directly.”
He urged other organizations and well-meaning individuals to emulate the gesture.
The Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Kajuru, alongside the Secretary of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), also expressed deep appreciation, describing the effort as a demonstration of unity and compassion that transcends religious boundaries.
Some of the beneficiaries, emphasised that the palliatives would ease their burdens, especially with the rising cost of living.
Earlier, the Director General of the IRM Foundation, Engr. Anas Muhammad, explained that the initiative was part of an ongoing commitment by the founder, Alhaji Ibrahim Rilwan Muhammad, who also serves as the Special Adviser to the Kaduna State Governor on Humanitarian Activities.
“This is one of many steps we are taking to bring relief to communities across Kaduna State,” he said.
The event ended with prayers from community leaders for continued peace, unity, and more humanitarian support to reach the grassroots.
