The Commander Infantry Corps (CIC) Maj.-Gen. Usman Yusuf, on Tuesday commended the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division, Maj.-Gen. Abubakar Wase’s operational exploits, urging him to sustain the momentum.
Yusuf made the commendation when the GOC paid a courtesy visit to the Headquarters, Infantry Corps Centre in the Jaji Military Cantonment.
Wase, who is also the Commander, Sector 1 Operation Fasan Yamma, said the aim of the visit was to introduce himself to the CIC as the new GOC, seek for his strategic guidance and support towards achieving his operational objectives.
While making his remarks, the commander, Infantry Corps welcomed the GOC and thanked him for the invaluable visit.
He urged him to sustain the operational momentum against criminals, saying, “that is the only way that we will have a sustainable peace.”
Wase further urged the GOC to count on him for every kind of support within his reach towards achieving his operational mandate.
The News Agency of NIgeria (NAN) reports that the visit was attended by the Chief of Staff, Directors, Staff Officers, unit Commanders, among others.
