ACF inaugurates first elected Executives for Katsina chapter

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has inaugurated its first elected executive members to head the forum’s affairs in Katsina State Chapter.

Speaking shortly after the inauguration in Katsina on Sunday, Alhaji Shehu Musa, the newly-elected Chairman, thanked Almighty God for making the day possible.

Shehu assured the willingness of the newly-elected executive members to putting in their best to deliver on the mandate and the expectations of the people.

According to him, it is pertinent to appreciate the contributions of the founding members, who laid the foundation of this chapter.

“They have done tremendously well and they have put in sacrifices of their valuable time and resources, particularly the Wazirin Katsina, Sen. Ibrahim Idah.

“On behalf of the executive members, I promise that we are going to work hard and we will definitely not disappoint the multitude of members who have reposed their trust in us,” he said.

He noted that in any kind of election, there must be a winner and the other way round, “but it’s a family, we’re going to show no favour to anybody or despise anybody because of the outcome of the election.

“We are not going to run the organisation based on our personal views, but what we have gathered from the people, our members; our focus will be on how to benefit the people of Katsina State, the northern states, and Nigeria,” he said.

According to him, the new leadership solicits support of all; so that together, they deliver positive outcomes of sustainable development to the people of Katsina State.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that other officials elected included; Hajiya Wasila Sani-Saulawa as Vice Chairman and Alhaji Bello Iro-Dabai, as Secretary of the forum.

Others are; Alhaji Abdulkadir Isa, Assistant Secretary, Hajiya A’isha Dauda-Daura, Treasurer; Alhaji Sada Salisu-Ruma, Publicity Secretary, while Lawal Kasimu was elected as Deputy Publicity Secretary.
