The newly appointed Zonal Commanding Officer Zone RS1 Kaduna, ACM Pauline Olaye has urged all Commanding Officers of all FRSC formations across the Zone to expedite actions geared towards reducing crash to it barest minimum in line with the Corps 2024 Corporate strategy goals
In her maiden meeting with Commanding Officers at the Zonal operators meeting held in Kaduna Zonal Command on Wednesday 25 April 2024, the ZCO urged Commanding officers to think outside the box and bring out creative and innovative ideas that would lead to massive reduction of crash across the zone
She explained that due to a spike of accidents in the zone, road safety awareness would be taken to the grassroots through increased visibility and logistics support.
“We are aware of all that is happening in Kaduna zone, basically the accident rate is increasing however we are determined to bring it down to it barest minimum.
“So, we are trying new strategies to mitigate the accident and the fatalities that are occurring. We will ensure that we work hard to reduce it,” she said.
The ZCO stated that there would be continuous public enlightenment as people need to be reminded about traffic rules while prosecuting violators to serve as deterrence to others.

Furthermore, she said that the zone would organize a town hall meeting with road users and other stakeholders to ensure that roads were safe and loved ones stay alive.
“We are appeal to you to obey traffic rules, so that we can be able to save our love ones from danger.
“Don’t over speed, don’t overload, and don’t carry passengers on trucks full of items.
”When there is a small maneuver, these people will fall from the truck and die, “she warned.
