The Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC) Jaji, has charged students of Senior Course 43 to be creative, innovative and open minded in handling military operations.
The Commandant of the college, AVM Ebenezer Alade, gave the charge while declaring open the 2021 edition of Exercise Sea Lion, on Wednesday in Jaji, Kaduna State.
According to him, as future operational level commanders, they must understand how to skillfully employ military forces to attain operational level objectives.
He added that it was necessary for the course participants to learn the “design, integration, conduct and management of campaigns and operations.”
The commandant also urged the students to remain focused and fully committed to achieving good results.
He explained that the exercise encapsulated the operations, packages as well as integration of all that the students learnt during the course.
Alade added that the exercise would serve as a tool for the students to practice and consolidate their knowledge on how to plan, conduct and decide on the employment of land, maritime and air assets in a combined and joint military setting.
"It is to consolidate your knowledge in the techniques of war, the commandant said.
“On a personal note, this exercise provides a unique opportunity for me to confirm the quality of students I will be graduating in a few weeks time.
“l therefore implore you to put in your best in this exercise to ensure you complete this course on a successful and high note,” he stressed.(NAN)
