Two newly appointed board members of Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Mallam Halliru Maraya and Mallam Abdullahi Bayero have pledged to add value to the operation of the agency in order to witness a very successful Hajj exercise this year.
The officials said while assuming duty in Kaduna that, they will deploy their experiences in supporting the agency to deliver on its mandate.
Malam Halliru Maraya who spoke on their behalf said, “Inshaallah we are here today to add to the value and successes that were secured by the special Hajj committee prior to our appointment.
“We collectively told the chairman and the members of the management team that we would cooperate, we will make concerted efforts to consolidate the successes that have been recorded so far by the agency and bring all that it takes to secure more successes.”
He thanked the government of Kaduna State for the opportunity given to them to serve pilgrims from the state, and pledged that they will not fail in carrying out the responsibility given to them.
In his remarks, the Executive Chairman of the Agency, Malam Salihu Abubakar, said the appointment of the two officials was to strengthen the operation of the pilgrims agency as it strives to deliver quality services to intending pilgrims both at home and in Saudi Arabia.
“I believe that they would bring their experiences to bear on all the activities of the agency,” he said while urging all intending pilgrims to follow instructions and attend the agency’s enlightenment programmes.
