He stated that the society, founded on February 1, 2019, currently has 120 dedicated members working together to empower vulnerable youths and orphans in the community.

According to him, since its first graduation ceremony on October 9, 2022, the cooperative has successfully organized six graduation events, where hundreds of trainees were equipped with life-changing skills:

According to Adam, the society is self-funded by its youth members with the aim of helping young people become self-reliant and reduce dependency on white-collar jobs.

He called on individuals, NGOs, and the government to partner with the society to expand the initiative and take more youths off the streets.

“We alone cannot do it. We need more support to provide startup tools and capital for our trainees after each session.

"This will ensure they fully utilize the skills they’ve acquired to build sustainable businesses,” he said.

The cooperative also emphasized its readiness to collaborate with like-minded organizations to achieve its vision of creating a self-reliant and empowered youth population in Igabi and beyond.

Adam assured that the society will continue to do its best to empower the most vulnerable in the community until it secures the needed partnerships to grow the initiative further.(NAN)
