IntercontinentalNewsReservoir: NDA Commissions Gen. CG Musa Lecture Hall

History was made on 27 October 2025, at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Afaka, as the Commandant, Major General AK Ibrahim, OFR, commissioned the newly upgraded General CG Musa Multipurpose Lecture Hall located at the Army Wing of the Academy.

The project has been upgraded and named after General CG Musa, the outgoing Chief of Defence Staff in honour of his outstanding military career and tremendous support to the NDA.

The lecture hall, which previously had a seating capacity of 312, has been expanded to accommodate 408 cadets.

It has also been fitted with ultramodern teaching aids and other state-of-the-art facilities designed to enhance the quality of training and instruction within the Academy.

Commissioning the project, the Special Guest of Honour and Commandant NDA, Major General AK Ibrahim, OFR, expressed his delight at the remarkable transformation, recalling his time as a former Chief Instructor at the Army Wing.

He noted that it was personally fulfilling to contribute, in his current capacity as Commandant, to the creation of a more conducive and technologically advanced learning environment for both cadets and staff.

He urged the cadets to be disciplined and hardworking in the course of their stay in the NDA .

The Commandant also appreciated the efforts of the Director of Military Training (DMT), Brigadier General T Ahmed, and the immediate past Chief Instructor, Army Wing, Colonel MS Jafar, for their roles in transforming the facility.

The commissioning of the General CG Musa Multipurpose Lecture Hall underscores Major General Ibrahim’s continued drive to modernise and expand infrastructure within the NDA, in line with his vision to sustain the highest standards of military training and academic excellence in the Academy.

Highlights of the event included the cutting of the ribbon, unveiling of the commissioning plaque, a tour of the facility, and a group photograph.
