Foundation applauds Sokoto state government for establishment of Humanitarian Affairs ministry

The Founder and Chairman Board of Trustees ASATTAHIR International Foundation, Aliyu Sidi Attahiru, has applauded the Sokoto state government for establishment of Humanitarian Affairs ministry.
Attahiru gave the commendation following a press release conveyed and signed by Special Adviser Media and Publicity to the Executive Governor of Sokoto State, Mohammed Bello on January 15.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs was established along other new ministries in the state.
Attahiru, on behalf of the foundation, specifically applauded the Governor Sokoto state, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal for y foresight in creating the maiden Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and appointing Commissioner to mann the it among five others which had their commissioners reassigned.
He stated that the creation of the ministry didn't come as surprise considering the numerous efforts of the Sokoto state Government towards improving the lives of its people.
He recalled that in 2021 Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal's assent to the Child Protection Bill into law which birthed the Child Rights Act thereby making it a law and punishable offense to violate the fundamental rights of children in the state.
The Founder stated that ASATTAHIR International Foundation as one of the leading organizations responding to the humanitarian needs of the people through nutrition, shelter, advocacy disaster risk management and research, expressed confidence that this addition to the state would foster effective collaboration.
He also said that it would enhance synergy between local and international humanitarian organizations and the state government in responding to the humanitarian needs of the people swiftly and effectively.
Attahiru congratulated the newly appointed Commissioner, Abubakar Abdullahi Dange whose appointment toke effect immediately, trusting that his well deserved appointment would steer the Ministry and the people of Sokoto to the right direction.(NAN)
