With stone base works now fully completed, construction has advanced to the application of MC1 on the access road to the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia.
The project, driven by the Kaduna State Government under the leadership of Uba Sani, reflects a commitment to strengthening infrastructure that supports education and regional development.
Designed as a strategic intervention, the road will enhance access to the Federal Government–owned institution, easing movement for students, staff and visitors within Kachia and neighbouring communities.
The application of MC1 marks a critical stage in road construction, preparing the surface for asphalt and ensuring durability, strength and long-term performance under increasing traffic demand.
Officials say the progress recorded signals the imminent commencement of asphalt laying, a development expected to accelerate the pace of work and bring the project closer to completion.
Upon completion, the road is expected to significantly improve connectivity, boost economic activities and provide safer, smoother transportation for the university community and adjoining areas.
Residents and stakeholders have expressed optimism that the project will further open up the area, attract investment and support the long-term growth of the institution and its surroundings.
The Kaduna State Government maintains that such infrastructure projects remain central to its agenda of inclusive development and sustainable progress across the state.
Some residents of Kachia, have expressed appreciation to the state government for the pace and quality of work, noting that the road will ease transportation challenges and improve daily activities.
The District Head of Kachia, praised Uba Sani for prioritising the project, describing it as a timely intervention that will uplift the community and enhance access to the institution.(NAN)
