In a remarkable celebration of Nigeria's independence, renowned philanthropist Hajiya Halimat Tejuosho, CEO of the QAT Foundation, has offered hope and opportunity to the people of Zamfara State by awarding scholarships to 150 deserving students.

The inspiring event took place at the Government Technical College in Gada Biyu, Gusau, aimed at uplifting the community amid ongoing socio-economic challenges. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation as attendees gathered to witness this significant initiative.

Speaking at the empowerment program, Hajiya Halimat Tejuosho, represented by Agatha Abdullahi, emphasized that the foundation is founded on core principles of humanity. Abdullahi underscored the vital role of education in transforming the lives of young people.

She noted that the decision to focus on Zamfara stemmed from the region's pressing needs, stating, "The hardships faced by our people today necessitate urgent action. Education is not just a privilege; it is a fundamental right and a crucial tool for empowerment."

Agatha reiterated the foundation’s commitment to fostering educational opportunities in the region, emphasizing that the scholarships aim to alleviate the financial burdens many families face, allowing students to pursue their dreams without the constraints of economic hardship.

Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude, urging President Tinubu to prioritize humanity and competence in the imminent cabinet reshuffling by considering Tejuosho for the position of Humanitarian Affairs Minister.

One beneficiary, Lawal Ibrahim Marafa, articulated the profound impact of Hajiya Halimat Tejuosho’s generosity, stating, "This scholarship is more than just financial aid; it is a lifeline for us and our families. It rekindles our hopes and aspirations, enabling us to dream bigger."

Another beneficiary, Maijida Nana Aisha, described the initiative as a "game changer," emphasizing that it would not only support their education but also inspire a culture of giving back to the community. "With this opportunity, we are determined to excel academically and contribute positively to society," she said.

Hauwa Tukur Bakura also expressed her appreciation, highlighting the transformative power of education. "This initiative is a testament to what can be achieved when we come together to support our youth. We are grateful to Hajiya Tejuosho for believing in us," she stated.

Hajiya Halimat Tejuosho has recently garnered attention, with various groups advocating for her appointment as the new Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation. This call reflects her deep commitment to philanthropy and social change, underscoring her potential to make an even greater impact on a national scale.
