The Nigerian Red Cross Society, Kaduna State branch, has appointed a new branch secretary, Muhammad Aliyu Aminu.
Speaking during the secretary's inauguration, the Branch Chairman, Abdullahi Jibril, advised the incoming secretary to discharge his duties in all fairness and to the advantage of the most vulnerable in the society.
Jibril said that the branch governance had high expectations on the secretary and expected him to work in all fairness without fear or favour.
He urged the secretary to be a uniting force between all the religious and ethnic groups in the state without any bias mind, religious or tribal differences.
” We expect you to work solely by the seven fundamental principles of the Red cross movement," he said.
In his acceptance speech, Muhammad Aliyu Aminu, thanked the management of the branch for his appointment, while soliciting for their support to succeed.
” I acknowledge the fact that my appointment is the will of God and I promise to carry everyone along”
” I appeal to the management for support and promise to remain neutral and abide by the seven principles of the Red Cross movement.
” I will operate mainly on job description, each management staff will be allowed to work according to his job expectations without cross carpeting by others and undermining and taking over the duties of others upon themselves," he assured.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that until his appointment, the new secretary was the Kaduna branch health coordinator and now replaced by Miss Patience Sunday as the new branch health coordinator.(NAN)
