The new National Vice Chairman North West of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Mr Garba Datti has held his maiden meeting with the Zonal Executive Officers with the promise to strengthen the party in the Zone.
Musa Mada, APC Zonal Publicity Secretary (North West) disclosed this in a Statement made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Kaduna.
According to the Statement, Datti, the four time member of the National Assembly who represented Sabon Gari Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for sixteen (16) consecutive years (2007-2023), vowed to harness his wealth of experience and connections across board to strengthen unity and cohesion among the party faithfuls.
It said that the former law maker noted with keen interest that retaining the party's status as dominant political platform in the zone required unity and cohesion to be sustained at all levels.
This, Datti noted can be achieved only if the party remained actively united by exploring grey areas to be strengthened beyond electioneering processes.
Datti , thus, appealed for cooperation from the Zonal Executive Officers for the success of the task at hand .
He, however, reiterated his commitment and that of the National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for he party at North West to maintain a full time operations.
Recall that Garba Datti was sworned in by the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Abuja on Friday 25th August 2023, following the resignation of the former National Vice Chairman Salihu Moh. Lukman on July 26th July 2023.
The Zonal Executive Officers present at the meeting were the Zonal Legal Adviser Barr. Bashir Dutse, Zonal Organizing Secretary. Salisu Tsafe, Zonal Publicity Secretary Musa Mada, Zonal Leader of People With Disability, Lawal Na Rogo and Zonal Youths Leader Abdulhamid Mohammed. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
