FRSC deploys 2,215 personnel, assets for Eid-el-Fitr patrol in Kaduna

The Kaduna State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has commenced its 2026 Eid-el-Fitr Special Patrol to ensure safer roads and a hitch-free Sallah celebration.

This is contained in a statement on Tuesday in Kaduna by the command’s Public Enlightenment Officer (PEO), Usman Garba.

Garba said that in view of this, the state sector Commander of the corps, Tijjani Iliyasu, has directed the deployment of 2,215 personnel for the special patrol.

The deployment comprise of 1,484 regular marshals, 731 special marshals, 28 patrol vehicles, one patrol bike, two heavy-duty tow trucks, one carrier tow truck and eight ambulances.

Iliyasu said the operational strategy would ensure proper management of anticipated increase in vehicular and human traffic during the celebration.

He also said that FRSC personnel had been strategically deployed along highways and critical junctions to ensure free flow of traffic, prompt rescue services and strict enforcement of traffic regulations.

He further said that all FRSC roadside clinics within the sector have been reactivated and stocked with medical consumables, while rescue teams and medical personnel were on standby to respond to emergencies.

He however, advised motorists to avoid speeding, dangerous overtaking, overloading, as well as to ensure that their vehicles were in good mechanical condition.

He also urged drivers and passengers to use seat belts at all times and ensure that children were properly secured, and also advised motorists to be vigilant and watch out for black spots, especially along major highways.

Iliyasu called on road users to cooperate with the FRSC personnel and other security agencies during the exercise.

He wished the Muslim faithful a peaceful and safe Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
