Hajj 2024: Sen. Ali Ndume, Other Senators Commends NAHCON For Service Delivery In The Holy Land, Refutes Rumors Of Poor Welfare

Sen. Ali Ndume, and other senators of the Nigerian Senate, has commended NAHCON for it committment to the provision of services for the overall welfare of pilgrims in the holy land.
Ndume, and the other senators made the commendation while speaking to newsmen in Madina on Tuesday.
Ndume said that the negative news they were hearing regarding food, accomodations and general welfare of pilgrims prompted them to go and see for themselves.
He therefore, said what they saw was different from what people were saying, adding that NAHCON is keeping up to the responsibility of providing good service to pilgrims.
He said rumours especially on pilgrims not given enough food was fake.
He also said the news of a woman who was said to have committed suicide was untrue, adding that she was seen in the CCTV camera to had fell down and died.
Ndume, added that he has interacted with so many pilgrims, where all their testimonies were positive, adding that he had visited the holy Land for many years, where the 2023 Hajj excercise and general welfare of pilgrims was better than previous years.
He commended NAHCON for the good work, while urging them to keep it up.
Also, Sen. Senator Abiodun Sharafadeen Alli, cautioned pilgrims on peddling fake news.
He also refuted the rumors of poor welfare of pilgrims, adding that NAHCON was doing its best.
He equally refuted the rumors of poor welfare especially feeding of pilgrims.
He urged the pilgrims to be committed to their acts of worship, and avoid being distracted.
Also, Abubakar Yagawal, Commisioner PRISLS, lauded the senators for seeing the true situation of things themselves.
He urged pilgrims to be dedicated to their act of worship and desist from spreading fake news, stressing that it portrays Nigeria in bad light.
One of the NAHCON official, said their team is working tirelessly to ensure that pilgrims have the best experience and welfare in Medina.
He thanked God for the senators who came and see first-hand of what was going on and accertain the true and actual situation against the rumors that had permeated the social media space.
