Arafat Day: Awaja Delivers Heart Touching Sermon To Nigeria Pilgrims In Saudi Arabia, Urged Them To Renounce Sin, Cultivate Compassion, Unity
By Fatima Dayyab
In a powerful sermon delivered to a sea of Nigerian pilgrims who would in few hours gather at the plain of Arafat, a prominent cleric, Khadija Awaja, had urged Muslims to seek forgiveness, renounce sin, and cultivate compassion and unity.
The sermon, a highlight of the Hajj pilgrimage, would be delivered on the sacred grounds where Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) once addressed his followers.
The cleric’s words resonated with the millions of number of pilgrims from around the world who would converged on Arafat, many with tears in their eyes.
“Pilgrims, this sacred land bears witness to your devotion and sincerity,” the cleric said.
“May your journey be a transformative one, and may your hearts be filled with the light of faith.”
The pilgrims, clad in simple white garments, listened intently as the cleric emphasized the importance of mercy, forgiveness, and spiritual growth.
The sermon was followed by a poignant supplication, with pilgrims raising their hands in unison, seeking divine blessings and guidance.
The gathering marks the climax of the five-day Hajj pilgrimage, a once-in-a-lifetime obligation for Muslims who physically and financially can perform it.
The pilgrims will proceed to Muzdalifah later today, and then complete the remaining rites in the coming days.
The Saudi government has ensured extensive arrangements for the pilgrims’ safety, comfort, and spiritual enrichment.
The world watches as this extraordinary gathering of faith and unity unfolds in the holy land.
