No amount of sponsored propaganda against Matawalle, Yari, will stand- APC Group

By Sani Idris

A group under the auspices of
APC Youth Wing Mobilisation Vanguard, has said that no amount of sponsored propaganda against the Minister of state for Defense,Muhammad  Matawalle and Sen. Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara state would stand in the political sphare.

Alhaji Ashiru Tukur,
Chairman, of the group, said this in a statement issued to newsmen on
Thursday in Kaduna.

While commending the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) for rubbishing sponsored protesters, Tukur called on the commission to go after the sponsors of the protests for constituting nuisance around.

He explained that the group's findings showed that some of the characters travelled all the way from their states, using public funds to mobilise, hire jobless youths in Abuja to intensify their propaganda and campaign of calumny against perceived political enemies.

"These are political jobbers who have abandon their constituents to poverty, insecurity and economic challenges back home only to come to the Nigeria seat of power and waste public resources in their care to pursue a mission to nowhere leveraging allegations without substance.

Giving example, he said, those campaigning against the former governor of Zamfara State and current Minister of State Defence, were ignorant of the law, due process, and modus operandi of institutions like EFCC.

He equally said the same character who boasted to have spend billions of naira on President Tinubu's campaign is facing same accusations of neglecting his constituent with squalor, hunger & insecurity challenges, while allegedly sponsoring mischiefs and political propaganda against the personality of Matawalle and Sen Yari for actualisation of his ambition to be governor of Zamfara state in 2027.

He said they have forgotten that the same man they are accusing was screened by the Department of State Security (DSS), EFCC, and other relevant security agencies before they were confirmed by the National Assembly.

"All the Ministerial nominees of President Bola Tinubu followed due process as tradition demands before they were cleared by the National Assembly which is we are concerned about this incessant unnecessary protest to remind the EFCC if it's responsibility,"he said.

Speaking further, Tukur said they have also noticed the conivance of People's Democratic Party (PDP)'s led government of Zamfara State with a member of the House of Representatives from Zamfara, financing such protests around Abuja.

"To us, this is rather too demeaning for the Zamfara people who are dire need of security of lives and property at the moment.

"So, this unpopular propaganda against Matawalle and Abdul'aziz Yari, must be stop, because it cannot hold water. they are Nigerians who have been progressing in their political journey.

"They are not ordinary Nigerians in terms of recognition, networking and political supports across the country,"he noted.

He therefore, specifically called on Hon. Sani Jaji the alleged grandmaster of all the comedy to face his legislature duty and bring development to his constituents, instead of financing such failed project along with PDP government of Zamfara state.

"His agonistic wounds over the loosing of speakership of the House of Representatives cannot be a reason to allow him and his co-travellers to destroy the unity and political stability of Zamfara state and North.

"No amount of blackmailed and political propaganda against the personality of Bello Matawalle and Sen Abdul'aziz Yari will prosper or achieved.

"Zamfara is in dire need of peace and political stability which is why those with sense of reasoning must come together as a united force to fight the ravaging insecurity and other challenges that have retarded its progress.

"We therefore pray for peaceful, progressive and political stable Zamfara State, North West and Nigeria as a whole,"he said

The chairman commended the maturity so far shown by Matawalle on the issues while urging him to continue to be doing good things for the people of the state, nation in general.(NAN)
