FRSC Special Marshals Elect New Executives in Kaduna


The Special Marshals of the Federal  Road Safety Corps(FRSC), Kaduna State Command  on Saturday elected new executives  to pilot their affairs for the next two years.

The News  Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that Fadare Ahmed emerged as the State Coordinator, Mustapha Suraju,  Deputy State Coordinator, Dr Shola Olatunbosun, State Secretary and Olufemi Soyemi Deputy secretary.

Others elected were: Ogunsany Olawale,  Treasurer , Abdulfatah Abdulazzez Auditor, Florence Yori, Financial Secretary, Precious Ibrahim, Welfare and Suleiman Abdullahi  as Public  Enlightenment Officer.

NAN also reports that all the new officials were elected unopposed, with the exception of the position of the State Provost, which was contested, with Rev. David Ajeyet emerging as the winner with 46 votes, against Suleiman Adamu with  22 votes.

The Kaduna State Sector Commander of FRSC, Iliyasu  Tijjani, who supervised the election charged the new executives to see their positions as service to humility.

Tijjani told the special marshals to prioritise the well-being and safety of the community.

He urged, “They should be committed to their roles and responsibilities.

“They should strive to make a positive difference in the community they serve.

” They should work together with other road safety staff to achieve their goals.”

On the election, the sector commander said it was  successful, and the new special marshals were poised to make a positive impact.

Also, the Zonal Coordinator, Special Marshals, who is also the National Secretary, Prince Ade Adeniji, told the newly elected officials to see their election as service to humanity, saying that service-oriented leadership was essential for effective governance.

He told them that power should not intoxicate them and should remember they were serving the state and nation.

Adeniji said the election went  smoothly, and there were no discrepancies, saying, “this is a great sign of a peaceful and democratic process.”

 Ahmed, who spoke on behalf of the newly elected officials, pledged total commitment to the cause of FRSC.

He appreciated the sector commander’s support, maturity and conduct during the election.
