The Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs Adekunle Oloyede, the Zonal Coordinator Zone ‘B’ Kaduna, has charge Newly promoted senior officers to uphold discipline and loyalty to constituted authorities, emphasizing that their new ranks come with greater responsibilities.
AGC Oloyede gave the charge at the Decoration and send forth ceremony of it’s officer who have been elevated to a new rank on Thursday in Kaduna .
He reminded them to remain humble and professional in their conduct, recognizing their promotion as a privilege rather than a right.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that those decorated include Comptrollers, Deputy Comptrollers, and Assistant Comptrollers.
Speaking on behalf of the promoted officers, Comptroller Bello Sani expressed gratitude to the management for their trust and assured them of their continued commitment to service.
Earlier, Zone B headquarters Kaduna organized a send-off for retiring Area Controllers, including Controller Dauda Chana of Kano/Jigawa Area Command and Ojike Iheanacho Ernest of Kebbi Command.
ACG Oloyede praised the retirees for their distinguished service, stating that retirement marks not an end but a transition into another phase of life.
“Your service to the nation has left a legacy for junior officers to emulate.
“We pray for your future endeavors and trust that you will continue to contribute to national development,” Oloyede said.
The event also featured congratulatory messages from various controllers, including FOU Zone B Controller Ahmadu Shuibu, Comptroller Tijjani Abe of the Kaduna area command , commended the retirees for their dedication.
A plaque was also presented to honor them for their 35 years of service.
In his vote of thanks, Controller Dauda Chana expressed appreciation for the outpouring of goodwill, praying that those still in service will achieve even greater milestones.
On his part ,Controller Iheanacho, while reflecting on his journey, thanked colleagues for their support, emphasizing that the bonds formed in service will endure beyond retirement.
The ceremony concluded with prayers for the retirees and best wishes for the newly promoted officers.
