Five Local Government Areas in Kaduna State are currently benefiting from the Resilient and Sustainable System for Health (RSSH) and COVID-19 Response Mechanism (C119RM) Global Fund grant to mitigate the scourge of AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria diseases.
Mr. Peter Ezekiel, the State Program Officer disclosed this in an interview with NAN on Monday in Kaduna.
He said the five LGAs including; Zaria, Igabi, Kaduna North, South and Chikun would access the RSSH-C19RM Grant which according to him was been implemented by Network of People Living With HIV/AIDS in Nigeria (NEPWHAN).
"The RSSH-C19RM Grant would reach out to these LGAs with 15 CBOs engaged in implementation cutting from three Disease Areas which include, AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria (ATM).
"From inception of the project, a lot achievements have been recorded and the community are very happy for all the support the project has brought to them.

He said the Program is using the Community-Led Approach which entails community identifying and solving their own problems using Issue-Based Advocacy Approach inspired by the CBOs.
"The project Which is anchored on the goal of developing community health facilities has made tremendous impact and by achieving so many result which include, getting the community to conduct advocacy and outreaches that made some community members to provide band new Microscope, Chairs for Waiting Clients, Office Tables for staff, Rehabilitation of Water facilities, fixing leaking Ceiling among many achievements.
"The project is coming at a time where it is most important for the communities and it's residents.
"Health is key so building sustainable health infrastructure is very important to managing healthy community.
The Project is to support the government by inspiring community action to issues bordering communities especially in the health areas.
Aaron said the health system is target to avert the likelihood of the recent COVID-19 hit that left many Nigerians dead and many others affected economically.
"Goal is to ensure that the possible third wave of COVID-19 does not have more impact on the lives of Nigerians".(NAN)
