The Managing Director/CEO of MD Consulting and Supply International, Mr. Fadi Bahsoun, paid a courtesy visit to the Director General of Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON), Major General Babatunde Ibrahim Alaya, on Friday, May 30, 2025.
This was contained in a statement issued to newsmen on Wednesday in Kaduna by Lt.-Col. Haruna Sani, Deputy Director Public Information/Media of DICON.
The visit aimed to strengthen partnerships and explore new opportunities for enhanced local production and self-sufficiency in defence-related products.
During the visit, Mr. Fadi reiterated the commitment of MD Consulting and Supply International towards a robust partnership with DICON to support local production of military hardware.
He further assured the DG DICON of seamless collaboration with symbiotic benefits to both establishments.
The DG DICON commended Mr. Fadi for his strategic foresight and collaborations in areas of the production of defence needs for the Armed Forces of Nigeria and other para-military agencies in Nigeria.
The DG asserted that the gesture was timely amidst the contemporary security challenges bedevilling Nigerians.
General Alaya reiterated that the partnership would no doubt accelerate the actualization of the Military Industrial Complex with DICON as the hub, thereby providing the needs of not only the Armed Forces of Nigeria but Africa as a continent.
The DG DICON further appreciated the entire management of MD Consulting and Supply International for supporting a cause that will change the fortune of the company while urging them to continue on the positive trajectory of supporting self-reliance and self-sufficiency in the production of defence-related products.
Both parties expressed optimism about the potential for a fruitful collaboration, which could lead to significant advancements in Nigeria's defence sector and contribute to the nation's overall development.
The visit, underscored the growing interest in Nigeria's defence industry and the potential for local and international partnerships to drive growth and innovation in the sector.
MD Consulting and Supply International is a Nigeria-based defence solutions provider specializing in the supply of military-grade equipment and logistics.
The company offers a comprehensive range of products, including arms, ammunition, armoured vehicles, tactical gear, and other mission-critical defence requirements.
Accordingly, partnership with DICON would no doubt offer the requisite opportunity to boost local manufacturing industries in defence-related products to support the Armed Forces of Nigeria to conduct its constitutional mandate.
The visit was marked by strategic discussions, presentation of souvenirs, and group photographs. The DG DICON and the MD/CEO of MD Consulting and Supply International are confident that the partnership will yield positive outcomes for both parties and contribute to the growth and development of Nigeria's defence industry.
