A Concerned Nigerian citizen, Akintunde Akinpelu, has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to consider Halimat Tejuosho's exceptional track record of philanthropy as he makes his cabinet appointments, adding that she would be a National treasure, that can revitalize Nigeria.
He noted that if Tejuosho is appointed as the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, it would also be a litmus test of President Tinubu's commitment to citizens' wellbeing.
Akinpelu, in a statement yesterday, said Tejuosho's selfless dedication to humanitarian causes makes her an ideal candidate for a position in the presidency, particularly in the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs.
According to Akinpelu, Tejuosho's tireless efforts to uplift the welfare and wellbeing of Nigerians, particularly the vulnerable, have earned her widespread recognition and admiration.
"Tejuosho's track record speaks volumes," Akinpelu said. "Her philanthropic gestures have brought hope and succour to many Nigerians, including People Living With Disabilities (PLWDs), widows, youths, artisans, and other vulnerable citizens."
Akinpelu noted that Tejuosho's initiatives and programmes have made a significant impact on the lives of many Nigerians. These include provision of support and empowerment programmes for PLWDs, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in society. She has also provided skills acquisition and entrepreneurship training for youths and women, empowering them to become self-sufficient and contribute to the nation's economic growth.
Additionally, Tejuosho has provided humanitarian aid for victims of natural disasters and conflicts, providing them with food, shelter, and medical care. She has also offered education and healthcare support for disadvantaged children, giving them a chance to succeed and reach their full potential.
"Tejuosho's appointment would be a step in the right direction for Nigeria's humanitarian sector," Akinpelu said. "I urge President Tinubu to tap into her expertise and passion for humanity."
With her impressive record of philanthropic gestures, Tejuosho is indeed a shining example of compassionate leadership. Her dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of Nigerians has inspired countless individuals and organizations.
Akinpelu's call comes as Nigerians await the president's cabinet appointments, with many hoping that he would choose leaders who would make a positive impact on the country.
"Tejuosho's appointment would be a testament to President Tinubu's commitment to the wellbeing of all citizens.
"I believe she would bring a sense of compassion and empathy to the presidency, and I urge him to consider her for a position in his cabinet,"Akinpelu said.
