The Muslim Youth Foundation of Southern Kaduna (MYFOSKA), has urged its members and the general public to distance themselves from the planned protest against economics hardship and bad governance, but rather focus on invoking prayers, spreading hope, and extending hands of mercy and assistance to the needy.
The call was made in a statement signed and issued to newsmen on Monday in Kaduna by MYFOSKA's National Chairman, Kabiru Bello and its National Secretary, Shuaibu Abdallah.
As an organization guided by the principles of Islam, they emphasize the importance of peace, mercy, and unity in times of hardship and unrest.
The duo noted that MYFOSKA stands in solidarity with the people of Nigeria in their call for improved governance and policies that would alleviate economic hardship and enhance the welfare of all citizens.
The dup equally said they recognize the right of individuals to peacefully protest and express their grievances, as guaranteed by the Constitution of Nigeria.
They however, unequivocally condemns any form of violence, lawlessness, or destruction of property in the pretense of protest.
They noted that Islam forbids violence and disorderly conduct, particularly in protests against leaders.
"As an organization, MYFOSKA remains committed to working towards a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria, where the rights and dignity of all citizens are upheld. We pray for a swift resolution to the current challenges facing our nation and for the well-being of all those affected,"they said.
They added that Islam teaches being good ambassadors and law-abiding citizens, adding that Muslims must adhere to the principles.
They prayed Allah to guide them on the path of righteousness and grant them the wisdom to work together for the betterment of the country.
They also prayed Allah to grant them wisdom and guidance to navigate through the difficult times, and also bring about peace and harmony to the nation.
They reaffirmed MYFOSKA's commitment to promoting peace, tolerance, and compassion in all aspects of lives, while calling on its members to uphold the values and to contribute positively to thier community, even in the face of adversity.
