The Redeem Christian Church of God, has on Sartuday donated duvets and cutleries to Borstal Training Institute in Kaduna, while admonishing the students on character reformation.
The Church, also donated buckets and slippers to the borstal Institute.
Speaking to newsmen, the General Overseer of the Church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, said the donation was in line with the Church’s Christain Social Responsibility (CSR)
Adeboye, represented by Pastor Clement Makinde, the Assistant Provincial Pastor in charge of CSR, said the gesture was aimed at supporting the Government’s responsibility in order to refom the students.
He added that their donation was aimed at aiding the students stay in the institute to be comfortable.
Adeboye explained that the message of salvation they also took to the students was to ensure the safety of their minds and hearts.
According to him, if the students hearts are not safe, they might go back to their initial state of drug abuse, theft, womanising, and other social vices and bad/unholy characters.
He called on the public to support the Government in various ways while tasking parents on proper upbringing of their children from childhood.
“Parents should not bring children to the world if they know they can’t take care of them, if they do, it is their responsibility to take good care of them so as for them to be responsible in the society,”he said.
The Institute’s Principal, Comptroller Musa Doguwa, said any child that is being brought to the school is lacking spiritual guidance.
Describing the students as being sick and needed spiritual healing, he said the institute needed an established seminary where it would be producing pastors.
Admonishing the students, Doguwa said the school is poised in building real believers who would imbibe the fear of God and trustworthiness even after stay in the school.
He thanked the Church for the donation, while pledging to make judicious use of the items for better welfare of the students.(NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
