The Commandant, Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC) Jaji, AVM Hassan Alhaji has assured Nigerians that the military was committed to making the country safe, secure and stable.

The Commandant gave the assurance while speaking with newsmen after the closing ceremony of Exercise Sea Lion for participants of Senior Course 45, on Wednesday at Jaji Military Cantonment, Kaduna State.

He explained that the Chief of Defence Staff and service chiefs have been strategising to ensure comprehensive defeat of all terrorists elements in the country.

Alhaji said this was necessary in ensuring that national efforts of making Nigeria a better place under the strategic guidance of President Bola Tinubu becomes successful.

“Nigeria is in a war to elevating the living standard of its citizens and provide them with opportunities to excel in their chosen enterprises in a safe, stable and secured country,” he added.

on Exercise Sea Lion, the Commandant said it was a capstone of the Senior Course Programme of the College, that allows the students to demonstrate expertise in their areas of study.

According to him, the exercise was premised on significant national issues that require application of multidimensional military capabilities in a joint and combined environment.

Alhaji said that the aim was to harness specific capabilities and competences of each service of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, for better results while in the field of operations.

He said it part of the design of ensuring that all officers who pass through the college are sufficiently prepared with the right knowledge and skills for the task ahead.

“Ultimately, the end state is to have a better country and citizens that would thrive well,” the AFCSC commandant said.(NAN)
