The Governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Kaduna State, Sen. Suleiman Hunkuyi has stormed Giwa Local Government of the state with campaign team, promising to tackle insecurity and provide free education from primary to secondary school as well as review downward tuition fees of all the state owned tertiary institutions.
Hunkuyi while addressing large crowd of people in Giwa town, Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State, said he was aware of the trauma and challenges the entire people of the local government and the state are going through, promising to revise the trend if elected governor of the state.
All the traditional rulers Hunkuyi visited in Giwa lamented on the issue of insecurity in the state.
Newsmen also learnt that Sarki Yakawada was among those kidnapped in recent times in the local government.
Hakimi Shika, Abdulkareem Aboki, Sarki Kaya, Mai Wada Mukailu, Hakimi Giwa, Mai Dala Zauzzau were among the traditional leaders Hunkuyi visited in Giwa LG.
Hunkuyi said ‘voting NNPP into power will lead to compulsory, affordable and quality education in Nigeria”
He said the Presidential Candidate of the NNPP, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has also promised to cancel fees for registration of West African Examination Council, WAEC, National Examination Council, NECO, Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB and similar fees for entry examinations.
Hunkuyi called on the people to use their permanent voters cards to vote for him and other NNPP candidates in the state in order to redirect Kaduna State towards the pathway of success and peaceful coexistence.
The House of Representatives and State House of Assembly Candidates of NNPP, Nura Abdullahi (Birnin Gwari/Giwa Federal Constituency), Nuradeen Sa'ad (Giwa West) and Tajudeen Kabir Shika (Giwa West) were all in the event and appealed to the peolpe to vote for Hunkuyi whom they described as the most qualified, competent and best among the candidite contestesting for governorship election in the state.(NAN)
