Eid-el-Kabir: Kaduna APC stakeholders holds get together

The All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders, under the name ‘Kaduna Progressive Group’, on Sunday held an

Eid-el-Kabir get together at ward 12, Unguwar Sanusi Area of the state.


The Convener of Kaduna Progressive Group , Dr Bashir Ibrahim, joined the APC stakeholder in Kaduna South for the get together to celebrate sallah at ward 12 unguwar Sanusi, to mark the year’s Eid-el-fitri celebrations.


Ibrahim assured the members of the party that more of such activity wouy be done to all ward offices so as to touch the Grassroots supporters to enhance maasive votes during 2023 elections .


“We should all seek ll maximum support to senator uba sani and our brother, the state assembly member from this constituency Hon Auwal Yaro Maikyau who tireless support good development in the state and the constituency”.


He thanked the ward chairmen and seek their support for such kind of projects in their varouis wards and to state levels.



In his remarks, the APC Ward Chairman, Mal Shittu Zubairu welcome members and all wards chairmen present at the meeting and seek collaboration in making this party stronger toward future election as a team.


He appealed to members that such kind of meeting organised by Dr Bashir Ibrahim was highly commendable because it had been long the party did any thing of such to bring people together and share ideas for the future of Kaduna.



In his remarks, Malam Abdulkarim Abubakar, the Public Relations Officer, Kaduna South, appealed for reconciliation and urged members to forget and forgive as a way forward toward a successful party in Kaduna State.


He said he would facilitate the planning and execution of several activities in the party , urging party members and communities to cooperate with each other in the struggle to checkmate incompetency at varouis levels.


Also, the Vice Chairman of the ward, Malam Jamilu Usman, also urged members to intensify mobilization of members of the community toward a successful election ahead.


He commended them for the successes recorded so far in varouis elections and urged them not to relent towards meeting the expectations of the people.


The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Reports that members that made various comments were women ledears and Mr Andrew Anda Paul from television ward and Bulus Alkali Kakuri of Gwari ward who all spoke on team work and patient to all members present.


They pledged to continue to sensitise their communities to support the party in their effort to address the challenges facing Nigeria.(NAN)


Tinubu has picked a running mate, Source discloses

 

A source confirmed that the APC presidential flag-bearer has decided on his choice of running mate for the 2023 general elections.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has chosen a running mate to feature on his presidential ticket ahead of the February 2023 election.

This was confirmed by a highly-competent source in the Tinubu Campaign Organisation who requested anonymity, NAN reports.

The source also added that Tinubu would revealed the name of his presidential candidate this week.

He said, “The vice-presidential nominee may most likely be a former governor and senator from the Northeast part of Nigeria.

The person is also by accident of birth a Muslim, confirming what Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State said on Saturday that Tinubu had settled for a Muslim-Muslim ticket,’’ the source said.

According to the source, the APC presidential flag-bearer didn't choose his running mate based on religion, rather, he considered factors such as competence, exposure and intellectual depth.

The considerations given for the choice of a running mate were dictated by the need to choose an individual capable of working with the presidential candidate to take Nigeria to greater heights,’’ the source added.

Meanwhile, Tinubu is expected to make a trip down to Daura, Katsina state, on Sunday, July 10, to pay Sallah hommage to President Muhammadu Buhari and also intimate him on his choice of running mate.

Pulse reports that the APC presidential candidate submitted the name of Alhaji Kabir Ibrahim Masari, a Katsina politician, as a placeholder in order to meet up with the up with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) deadline.

Tinubu was away in France from June 27 on a short vacation during which he held some strategic meetings. He returned to Nigeria on Saturday early enough for Sallah festivities.
