The president of Kaduna Club, Alhaji Muhammad Nasir, has inaugurated 11 sub-committees, charging them to be dedicated to their duties for the betterment of the recreational club and the economic wellbeing of the state.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the sub-committees were finance and revenue generation, supply and purchasing, security, audit, publicity, health and safety, games, social, membership, house and property sub-committees.
Inaugurating the sub-committees on Sunday in Kaduna, Nasir said they were set up to ease the numerous responsibilities of the executive members of the club.
“The sub-committees are to assist the management in decision making, and advice in other areas of administrative responsibilities,” he said.
Nasir added that the inauguration marked another landmark in the development history of the social club, noting that it didn’t happen for a long time.
“It is a known fact to all of us that this administration came on board at a very challenging time in the history of the club, and we are all witnesses to the dilapidated state of our club,” he said.
He explained that the previous administration and Care Taker Committee laid a foundation for reviving the club back to life on which the present one is now building upon.
“This administration has a big dream for the Club and had put in place plans to transform it into the best sporting hub of our region and one of the greatest recreational centers in the country.
“The task ahead is very big and requires administrative support and more efforts.
“The sub-committees are constituted and populated with distinguished members of the club who have proven
themselves worthy and capable of handling these responsibilities in the best interest of the club,” he said.
Nasir, however, noted that the management committee can dissolve any sub-committee, reshuffle its membership or adjust it whenever the need arises.
“All sub-committee members are expected to respect one another and adhere strictly to the rules and regulations of the club.
“Chairmen of the various sub-committees will coordinate all the activities of their respective sub-committees and report regularly to the management committee,” Nasir said.
He thanked members of trustees and the management team for their support and encouragement, noting that
all the physical and administrative developments witnessed were achieved through their hard work and dedication.
NAN reports that the high point of the event was the oath-taking administered by a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
NAN reports that the Kaduna Club was established in 1932 for recreation by senior government officials during the British administration in Nigeria. (NAN)
